Swiss-Belhotel International operates hotels in Changchun, Hefei,Wuhan, Suzhou and Shenzhen. Swiss-Belhotel International expects to be operating an further five to ten properties in China in the next 3 years.
All our properties have meeting and conference facilities and the MICE business forms a major part of our business. Being mainly located in secondary cities and with the growth in industry and international investment in these cities, we are finding that our conference facilities are under high demand. All the development of local industry plus private and international investment is seeing a large number of national and international businessmen traveling and requiring facilities for small to medium size meetings. Our focus on this business segment is really paying off and is enabling our hotels to secure and exceed their natural market share.
But the MICE business is demanding and Swiss-Belhotel International really focuses on training the staff and management to handle such business. Swiss-Belhotel International has introduced "compulsory" English training through the introduction of very innovative computer based English learning programmes which will be used in all our hotels in China. This system is supplied and supported by CultureFlow which is a New Zealand based company with offices in Beijing. This is most important with the increase in the number of international businessmen visiting our hotels.
Swiss-Belhotel International is excited to see a magazine in China dedicated to the MICE market. Swiss-Belhotel International will be a strong supporter of this magazine as a very important communication medium to the potential MICE market.
