Global Spectrum Expands Into Asia

Global Spectrum, a leading facilities-management company in North America, is expanding into Asia through a partnership to manage China's new Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Global Spectrum will provide technical support to Pico, a global event marketing company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to today's announcement.
"The Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Centre is a magnificent facility, and we're looking forward to bringing our expertise and resources to Chongqing," said Global Spectrum president Michel Sauers.
Opened last October in the western Chinese city of Chongqing, the Chongqing Centre contains 450,000 square feet of exhibit space, including the largest pillarless exhibit hall in China, at 150,000 square feet. The center also features 130,000 square feet of outdoor exhibit space; the largest ballroom in Chongqing, with seating for 1,100; and a 1,100-seat theater, with six-language simultaneous translation capability.
A unit of Comcast Corp. under Comcast Spectator, Global Spectrum manages more than 50 public facilities in the United States and Canada.
