More Destination Options for Meetings and Incentive Groups
28/04/2006 SNC Destinations has announced that it will be partnering with Carib-World Travel of Antigua and Barbuda to bring more destination options to meetings and incentives clients.
Carib-World Travel becomes the fourth independently-owned destination management company (DMC) represented nationally by SNC Destinations, a Sunrise, Fla.-based company that assists U.S. meeting planners and incentive travel buyers with destination management options throughout the Caribbean. Other DMC partners include Carib Travel, St. Lucia; Great Vacations, Jamaica; and The Travel Centre, Trinidad and Tobago.
Carib-World Travel, formed in 1973 on the island of Montserrat, relocated to Antigua in 1996 due to volcanic activity in Montserrat and now maintains two branches in Antigua.
"For meetings, retreats, or incentive trips for individuals and groups, Antigua offers its rich history, beautiful coral reefs, choice of sport and leisure activities, and luxury resorts providing world-class service and amenities," says Simone Champagnie, Director of Business Development for SNC Destinations. The largest of the Leeward Islands, the destination also lends itself to day trips to neighboring islands.
"Our DMC maintains a house on this modern day Pompeii, Montserrat, where she hosts day trips allowing guests to look down from her house on to the buried capital of Plymouth, or across at the active volcano," Champagnie continues. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for groups."
On April 1, SNC Destinations officially launched Carib-World Travel on its website (www.sncdestinations.com), giving meeting planners and incentive travel buyers immediate access to the online RFP form. Antigua & Barbuda, similar to Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago, is another destination that has signed the Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with the United States, allowing U.S. companies to take the same tax deductions as they would for a U.S.-based meeting.
