United Airlines sponsors 2006 MFS Australian Golf Open

For the second year running, United Airlines is sponsoring Golf Australia and the 2006 MFS Australian Golf Open, to be held at The Royal Sydney Golf Club from 16-19 November.
Due to success in its first year of involvement with the Australian Open in 2005, United is continuing its sponsorship this year to drive support for Golf Australia and is offering golf enthusiasts a host of rewards throughout the Open.
Stephen Pearse, Country Manager Australia/New Zealand United Airlines, said, “Our support of and involvement in a prestigious event such as the Australian Open is a great way for us to further connect with our customers and partners in an informal setting.
“Through the partnership, we hope to not only strengthen our relationship with customers and partners but also with Golf Australia in celebrating the sport of golf in this country.”
Online, golf fans can visit unitedairlines.com.au, enrol in Mileage Plus and register for their chance to win one of 10 double season passes to the Australian Open to see the big names in action, including Greg Norman, Adam Scott, Stuart Appleby, Geoff Ogilvy and Robert Allenby.
While offline, from its booth at the Australian Open, United is offering the Open crowd a chance to win two return economy airfares to San Diego, staying three nights at the Handlery Hotel & Resort in San Diego with a round of golf at Riverwalk Golf Club. Those who register at United’s booth for its frequent flyer program – Mileage Plus – will automatically be entered into the prize draw.
