Wait list at Wolfsberg stuns organisers
The Wolfsberg Annual IAPCO seminar tucked away in the hinterland outside Zurich , Switzerland was a sell out event this year with 19 on the waiting list. 62 students taught by 13 Faculty worked their way through a current, intense lecture program. All students are a part of the syndicate groups who conjure up their own case study congresses to practise immediately what they have taken from the lectures and just as importantly from their colleagues from around the world.
As important as the lectures is the networking between students who came from 27 countries around the world and span ages from mid twenties to senior experienced practitioners. The culture of the seminar is to share, network and learn first hand about the cultural and traditional differences international PCOs have to manage. The faculty are the cream of leading PCOs and congress management identities from around the world - not professional presenters but profoundly experienced practitioners who selflessly share their knowledge. To quote one student “the seminar is awesome.”
In this 40th year of the Association, there was a keen emphasis on anything 40! In the spirit of international co-operation the participants melded into a photograph of 40 to commemorate the event. The Wolfsberg UBS Training School provides a splendid environment for absorbing knowledge and the 5 star dining and the newly rebuilt living quarters are the magic touch that makes the week a truly memorable experience.
There was a lesson learned this year for the 19 students who didn’t book early enough! The seminar was ranked 2nd out of 32 seminars over 40 years.
