Planning trade fairs with audited data
FKM Report 2006 presents statistics for 280 trade fairsAudited and comparable statistics for 280 trade fairs in Germany and 29 abroad, are contained in the 2006 Report of the Society for the Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics (FKM). Currently, 71 German trade fair and exhibition organizers as well as three foreign guest members, the Verona Trade Fair Company, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the MVK trade fair company, Moscow, are members of the FKM.
In addition to exhibitor, space and visitor statistics, the report offers analyses of trade or private visitors for 177 events in Germany, in other words, for exactly 70 % of all audited German trade fairs. In addition to basic data like regional origin and professional position, these tests provide special information about trade visitors such as their decision-making competence or the sectors of business. For private visitors they provide additional data about age or house-hold income.
All the figures are collected according to uniform rules and checked by a public accountant. The data offers the exhibitors planning certainty and thus form an important basis for decisions about possible participations and the monitoring of trade fair success.
