07/06/2006
NCL Corporation announced that Norwegian Pearl, its newest Freestyle Cruising vessel to be delivered in November, will join Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Star in Alaska for the 2007 season.
Norwegian Star and Norwegian Pearl will sail seven-day roundtrip cruises from Seattle, and Norwegian Sun will return to Vancouver for seven-day round-trip cruises. NCL has the youngest fleet sailing Inside Passage cruises and all of its itineraries will feature either Glacier Bay or Sawyer Glacier giving NCL guests plenty of time to enjoy the natural majesty of Alaska.
"Alaska is one of the most compelling destinations in the world, and its unique combination of beauty and nature make it one of our most desirable destinations," said Colin Veitch, NCL's president and CEO.
"By dedicating three new ships to this market, including Norwegian Pearl, we are giving our guests ships rich with balconies and suites that are perfectly suited for viewing Alaska's inspiring natural beauty."
