World cruise ship with 800 foreign tourists arriving in Zambo City
Zamboanga City (31 January) -- A World-wide Cruise Ship carrying 800 foreign tourists is arriving in the port of Zamboanga City on February 9 that will mark a new beginning for tourism in the city.
This was announced Monday by Mayor Celso Lobregat after Australian Ambassador Tony Hely paid a courtesy call to his office.
The Cruise Ship called MS Albatross will carry German and European tourists and will stay in the city for 16 hours.
The Phil. Ports Authority, City Tourism Office, PNP and Task Force Zamboanga and other concerned agencies will be convened by the Mayor to prepare the city for the arrival of the cruise ship passengers.
¡°Some of them will take package tour visits, while most of them will roam around the streets of Zamboanga city to shop, walk and see the innards of the city,¡± he said.
After the MS Albatross visit, another foreign vessel carrying foreign tourists is also scheduled to dock at the port of Zamboanga in the coming days, the Mayor enthused
