59 nights, 15 countries, 36 ports plus 6-star luxury yield one sultry "Circle South America" voyage aboard all-balcony suite Seven Seas Mariner January - March 2007
23/5/2006
From the spectacular Amazon rainforest to the majestic Chilean fjords and sublime beauty of the Argentine Lake District, Regent Seven Seas' all-balcony suite Seven Seas Mariner offers guests the chance to "live the luxury" on a 59-night, 15-country, 36-port "Circle South America" itinerary.
Sailing roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale on Jan. 9, 2007, the two-month voyage - featuring six onboard overnights and seven exclusive complimentary shoreside events - will not only be colorful in sights but also in customized experiences.
The 700-guest cruise ship will feature famed ocean explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau, who will sail the Amazon along with associates from his Ocean Futures Society. He will share his broad knowledge of this diverse continent through onboard enrichment programs and a range of captivating shore excursions.
Pulsing with life and excitement, South America has never been more enticing. Luxury and travelers' personal interests go hand-in-hand aboard the Seven Seas Mariner as she sails four combinable 11- to 19-night segments calling in the Bahamas, St. Barts, Dominica, Barbados and French Guiana (Devil's Island) before wending her way up the Amazon River 1,000 miles to Manaus (onboard overnight) and around the coast of Brazil to Rio de Janeiro (onboard overnight), crossing into the Tropic of Capricorn to reach Uruguay and Argentina, with two onboard overnights in Buenos Aires.
After a hop over to the Falkland Islands, the vessel cruises Cape Horn, the "Avenue of the Glaciers," and through the untamed natural beauty that surrounds the Strait of Magellan. After an onboard overnight in Punta Arenas, Chile (where guests may take a day flight to Antarctica), the Seven Seas Mariner sails through the magnificent Chilean fjords and along the Peruvian shoreline to Callao (Lima) for an onboard overnight, then crosses the Equator.
Her Panama Canal transit brings her venturesome guests into contact with the wonders of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Belize before returning them to Ft. Lauderdale on March 9.
