Foreign Tourist Arrivals To Bali Down 8.7% In 2006
Foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia's most popular tourist destination, Bali island, slid 8.7% in 2006 to 1.33 million from a year earlier following the second terrorist attack there in Oct. 2005, the official Central Statistics Agency said Thursday.
Foreign tourist arrivals to Bali accounted for over 33% of total foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in 2006, which were down 2.4% to 3.98 million from a year earlier.
