SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, NINGBO NAMES RESIDENT MANAGER

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group, has appointed Mr. Giorgio Gino Olivotti as Resident Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Ningbo. The 564 room hotel is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2008. It will be the second property in Zhejiang Province for the group, following the opening of Shangri La Hotel, Hangzhou in 1984.
Italian Mr. Olivotti has more than 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He began his career in food and beverage positions in Europe and spent nine years in South East Asia. Prior to being appointed Resident Manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Ningbo, Mr. Olivotti was Executive Assistant Manager (food and beverage) of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Hong Kong. His career covers well-known hotels and resorts such as the Palace Hotel Gstaad in Switzerland, Swiss?tel, The Stamford in Singapore and the One and Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius.
In addition to his native Italian, Mr. Olivotti speaks French, English, German and Spanish. This is Mr. Olivotti’s first appointment in mainland China.
