McCormick Place Gets Another New Labor Contract

The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, operator of McCormick Place, facilitated a new five-year collective bargaining agreement between venue contractors and a decorators union, United Steelworkers Local 17. Supporters say the changes will mean more flexibility and reduced costs for exhibitors and show managers. The agreement follows a similar one in May with the Riggers Union Local 136.
