HICC attracts major international & national events to India

Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), India’s first world class convention facility, has attracted several major national international events to India, by virtue of its state of the art meeting conveniences.
Prominent among them include the recently concluded Asian Development Bank’s 39th Board of Governors Meet and the forthcoming Asia Pacific Congress of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia 2007, the International Astronautical Congress in September 2007 and The 59th National Convention of the Cardiological Society of India, to name a few.
Philip Logan, General Manager, HICC said, “HICC as a world class convention facility will only facilitate the purpose of positioning India as the emerging dynamic global business destination. This also fulfils the need for a purpose built facility such as the HICC, in this region, in the world.’
The HICC, which is the only international class convention facility between Singapore and Dubai, is located in a 15-acre campus in Hyderabad, the burgeoning business destination of India. Spread over 291,000 square feet of primary meeting space and 250,000 square feet of pre-function areas, the HICC is designed to handle events for upto 5000 people. The convention facility includes a pillar free internal hall of 20,000 square feet that can quickly, by way of mobile operable walls and telescopic seating, be partitioned into six halls to accommodate different categories of events like conferences, seminars, board meetings, social events, staff events, indoor sports, to name a few.
