VENUE
MANCHESTER UNITED UNVEILS FACILITIES
15/06/2006
Planners can kick off their own premier league meetings with the unveiling of new facilities at Old Trafford.
A series of new hospitality, hosting and private box facilities at The Quadrants are part of a ¡ê43 million redevelopment to increase the ground¡¯s capacity to 76,000, due to open this autumn.
The Quadrants¡¯ new facilities will include eight private suites overlooking the ground with business facilities, refreshments plus an annual visit to Carrington to watch the first team train; a sports bar with elevated views of the pitch; lounge bar for up to 270 people, executive lounge for up to 275 people; fine dining restaurant and executive boxes providing meeting space for up to eight guests. The development will compliment existing conference amenities at Manchester¡¯s waterfront business and leisure destination, the Quays.
Karl Evans, director of venue at Manchester United said: ¡°The opening of this fantastic new hospitality destination heralds a new era for sporting venues. It¡¯s no longer just about providing hospitality on match days. We are now able to provide a stylish business base for individuals or small businesses and provide a first-class service for meetings and conferences. The high specification of the facilities mean you also don¡¯t have to be a Reds fan to appreciate them ¨C but it does help!¡±
